The high-performance acrylic adhesive for demanding applications

The 2-component acrylic adhesive MD MEGABOND 2000 is the ‘formula one’ among high-performance adhesives and offers outstanding properties that make it the ideal choice for a wide range of applications. With excellent impact, peel and tensile shear strengths, MD MEGABOND exceeds the requirements that conventional adhesives are often unable to fulfil.

Versatile applications:

MD MEGABOND permanently bonds a wide range of materials, including metal, wood, ceramics and hard plastics. The fast fixation and minimal surface preparation make the application particularly user-friendly. Once fully cured, the bonded joint can be easily machined and painted, making the adhesive a flexible solution for various industrial sectors.

Areas of application:

The possible applications for MD MEGABOND are virtually unlimited and extend across the entire industry. Typical application examples can be found in the bodywork and exterior areas, such as the bonding of bumpers, spoilers, radiators, exterior mirrors, body panels, windscreens and door windows. GRP parts, door panels, rear and front lighting as well as reinforcements and installations of floor panels, roof elements and grill parts also benefit from the outstanding properties of this adhesive.

Processing instructions:

For optimum adhesion, the surfaces of the parts to be joined should be clean and free of oil and grease. Roughening the surfaces can additionally increase the strength. Mix the material until a uniform colour is achieved and apply MD MEGABOND before joining the parts. Hand strength is achieved after only 60 minutes and final curing takes place within 12 hours. Please note that processing should not take place below +5°C outside temperature. After use, the cartridge should be resealed with the cap in order to maintain the quality of the adhesive.
