MD CA-STAR FLEX - 2-component adhesive based on methoxyethyl cyanoacrylate

The MD CA-STAR FLEX 2K adhesive offers outstanding bonding properties for a wide range of materials. It is ideal for bonding metal as well as a wide range of plastics, including PVC, ABS, PC and PBT. Rubber and porous, absorbent materials such as wood, paper, cardboard, leather and textiles can also be bonded with ease.

Properties:

Thixotropic: The adhesive is thixotropic, which means that it liquefies on application and sets again after application, preventing dripping or slipping.
Extremely flexible: The flexibility of the adhesive enables a permanent bond that remains stable even under movement or load.
Mechanically workable: Once cured, the adhesive can be mechanically worked, allowing for additional customisation and finishing.
Overhead and vertical applications: Thanks to its special formulation, the adhesive is ideal for applications that require vertical or overhead application.
Good media resistance: The adhesive is highly resistant to various media, making it ideal for demanding applications.
No efflorescence: After curing, there is no unwanted efflorescence that could affect the appearance of the bond.
Transparent bonding of PMMA: The adhesive enables almost invisible bonding of PMMA (acrylic glass), which is particularly advantageous for aesthetic applications.
Odourless: The adhesive has no unpleasant odour, which makes it more pleasant to use indoors.
Label-free: The adhesive is label-free, making it a safe choice for various applications.

Processing instructions:

Mixing ratio: 4:1 (adhesive to hardener)
Processing time: Approx. 5-6 minutes, which provides sufficient time for precise work.
Temperature resistance: The adhesive can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +80°C and can be used at temperatures of up to 120°C for short periods.
Elongation at break: With an elongation at break of 200%, the adhesive offers high flexibility and resistance.
