Active Cleaner is a combined cleaning and activator spray that combines two crucial process steps in a single product. It reliably removes dirt, dust, light oil residues, and other surface contaminants. At the same time, it activates the substrate surface, thereby creating optimal conditions for a high-strength, fast bond.
When used with instant adhesives (cyanoacrylates), Active Cleaner significantly accelerates polymerization. Under typical working conditions, approximately 85% of the final bond strength is achieved after just a few seconds. Thanks to its mild formulation, the product is significantly safer than traditional activators or aggressive cleaners and is suitable for most materials without damaging or discoloring them.
Applying Active Cleaner
Spray Active Cleaner evenly and over the entire surface of one of the two surfaces to be bonded.
Make sure the entire bonding surface is wetted without forming drops or puddles.
The spraying distance should be approximately 10 - 15 cm, depending on the nozzle.
Allow to Air Dry
Allow the Active Cleaner to air dry briefly until the surface is visibly dry.
During this time, the product exerts its cleaning and activating effects.
The activation remains effective for a limited period; therefore, proceed with the next step promptly.
Applying the Instant Adhesive
Apply the instant adhesive to the opposite side of the substrate.
Use a thin, even layer—too much adhesive can slow down curing.
Avoid contact between the adhesive and the activated surface before joining the parts.
